Location
Our house is the southern half of the Lamson Building, a beautiful five-story mansion located at 351 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, MA. Located just south of Central Square, we have the benefits of being surrounded by a wealth of restaurants, coffeeshops, museums, and more.
The chapter house is closer to main campus (Lobby 7) than some of the MIT housing options and is a five-minute walk from the Central Square T station, providing easy access to transportation around the Cambridge/Boston area. We also have both an MBTA bus stop and an MIT shuttle stop directly in front of our building.
Living Quarters
The chapter house has 38 rooms, all of which are spacious singles. We strive to ensure that rent for members is always less expensive than the lowest-rent room in official MIT housing. Shared restrooms are located in hallways and are regularly cleaned by professional staff hired by the chapter.
Members are free to make modifications to their rooms, and the chapter covers all or most of the cost of most permanent additions (e.g., painting, etc.).
